2 Childhood

The Lion King:

In a delicate balance.

Mufasa: Everything you see exists together, in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance, and respect all the creatures-- from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.

Simba: But, Dad, don't we eat the antelope?

Mufasa: Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass. And the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life.

Beauty and the Beast:

You must control your temper!

Lumiere: (adding in) Ah yes, when she comes in, give her a dashing, debonair smile. Come, come. Show me the smile. (BEAST bears his ragged fangs in a scary, and yet funny grin.)

Mrs. Potts: But don't frighten the poor girl.

Lumiere: Impress her with your rapier wit.

Mrs. Potts: But be gentle.

Lumiere: Shower her with compliments.

Mrs. Potts: But be sincere

Lumiere: And above all...

Both: You must control your temper!

Mulan:

Quiet and demure... graceful... polite... delicate... refined... poised... punctual.

Mulan: Quiet and demure... graceful... polite... [picking up some rice with herchopsticks and eating a mouthful] delicate... refined... poised... [She sets down her chopsticks and writes down a final word on her right arm] punctual. [A cock crows] Aiya. [Calling out] Little brother. Little brother. Lit-ahhh, there you are. Who's the smartest doggie in the world? Come on smart boy, can you help me with my chores today?

Fa Zhou: Honorable ancestors, please help Mulan impress the matchmaker today.

Little Brother [running into the temple and around Fa Zhou scattering grain around the floor]: Bark, bark, bark, bark, bark.

The Wizard Of Oz:

Here's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.

Dorothy: Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? There must be. It's not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It's far, far away -- behind the moon -- beyond the rain --

Dorothy: (sings)
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high,
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do....
